Speedometer Trinket Guide

Description

Speedometer appears as a circular, yellow speed indicator. It has two readouts: one being a display of digits and the other being a series of shorter or longer clockwise dashes to indicate increments, both empty of numbers. The former is placed in the lower middle of the circle as a gray box separated into three parts, and the latter is a gray semicircle that takes up the top half of the object. It has a thin, red hand that points past the point that is meant to be zero.

Strategies

Speedometer grants a tiny bit of extra maximum Stamina — only around 1 second worth of running — which is not very beneficial, especially since both the Well-Paced/Endurance Cards will give you 20 total extra Stamina. It is not recommended to use this Trinket unless you have no other options.

The best Toons to use this Trinket on are 1 Star Stamina Toons, especially slow Toons such as Shrimpo or Soulvester. However, it is not recommended to use this Trinket when you have a team of more than 3 people. If you are on a solo run and need more Stamina, the Speedometer still is not worth a Trinket slot since it is outclassed by Cooler. When playing with a team, Friendship Bracelet might be of better use, though it depends on your team's skill level. Good Stamina management can almost eliminate the need for higher Stamina, making this only beneficial for people basically reliant on Stamina.

Trivia

Toons with 1 Star on Stamina get 3 more Stamina units from Speedometer than Lucky Coin when the Stamina stat is rolled, granted nothing else is increasing it. Toons with 2 Stars on Stamina using Speedometer get the same amount of Stamina units as if they use Lucky Coin and the Stamina stat is rolled, going from 125 to 140 if not considering any other Stamina capacity increasers. The total Stamina gained from Speedometer is: 1 Star (100) → 115, 2 Stars (125) → 140, 3 Stars (150) → 165, 4 Stars (175) → 190, 5 Stars (200) → 215.
